5/2/08 All American Scores The Winning Run In Modesto "MS Walk 2008 On Saturday, May 2, 2008, the All American 12-U team took off there trademark "Red Ringor Cleats" and put on there "Red Ringor Turf Shoes". But this time it wasn't to hit in the home friendly cages of All American Sports Academy, it was for a bigger and more meaningful purpose. The team decided to step up and score their runs this weekend for Multiple Sclerosis. The players and parents participated in Modesto's "Multiple Sclerosis WALK". The team combined with Karen Basi of Basi Insurance "WAVE OF HOPE" team in Modesto to help raise over $5000 for MS research and community support. The Walk was devised of two courses a 2k and 5k course that could be walked or ran. Brianna Warner, Nicole Kaiser, Taylor Wilson, Reina Aguirre, of the 12-U team along with Strength & Conditioning Coach "Patty Kaiser" ran the 5K course and beat everyone to the finish. They finished the entire course in less than 40 minute s. Corrina Guttierez, Jazzy Baca, & Rachel Norman also ran the 5k and finished in less than 50 minutes. We attribute this success because of "Coach Pattys" strict conditioning program. Patty Kaiser has worked on strength and conditioning with the team since our first practice back in December. |
