2007 Community Services Events

The All American Family Cares and the following events are just a few of the functions that our athletes, family members, and friends participate in through out the year. Recent events can be found on the All American Sports Academy Teams front page.

14U-George Food Drive
The softball team collected canned foods from neighbors and friends for the Contra Costa food and San Joaquin food bank.

Tracy Relay for Life
The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life is one of the academy’s most popular community service fundraiser. The three-day event began Friday night at Peter B. Kyne Field at Tracy High School and continued through Sunday morning. The All American Sports Academy family would like to thank all the survivors, family members, friends, the 15U baseball team members and the 10U softball team for participating in the event.

Stockton Ports Pink Day
The All American Sports Academy family would like to thank all family members and friends who attended the Stockton Ports game on Sunday, May 21. In honor of breast cancer, all proceeds went to the St. Joseph’s Foundation benefiting the Mobile Mammography Fund. A crowd of 4,176 attended the game and a group of roughly 30 cancer survivors and family members took the field before the first pitch.

9th Annual Children's Health & Safety Fair
The All American Sports Academy family would like to thank all those that participated in the Children's Health & Safety Fair at the Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. It was a great experience for our young student athletes and a lot of fun!

The 16U Girls Volunteered their time with "Matteo Dream"
The 16U softball team helped in building a playground for the handicap (Matteo's Dream). The players met Matteo and had their picture taken with him. They heard his story and the love of a mom who has heard the cry from other handicapped children and parents with able bodied children for a park in which they could play.

The 18Gold - Merrida Girls Volunteered for Muscular Dystrophy
Bryans 18 Gold Team volunteered at the Muscular Dystrophy walk in Modesto. They arrived early Saturday morning where they enjoyed the "kick off" festivities.. They then set up lunches for all participants of the event. Thanks for all the hard work parents & ladies, I know some of you drove quite a distance to take part in these events.

2007 Sacramento State University Capitol Classic Softball Tournament
The All American Sports Academy 10U and 12U softball team had the opportunity on March 16th, 17th, and 18th to experience college softball from the dug-out. The young student athletes were invited to serve college teams as bat girls during the 2007 Sacramento State University Capitol Classic Softball Tournament. The young All American Sports Academy players were able to learn hands on what it takes to compete at the college level, meet new role models, and learn ways to improve their game. The entire Academy family would like to thank the Sacramento State University, coaches and player for allowing us to participate. As well as, all the other participating Universities who were willing to share their dug out with our All American athletes. Again, The experience was priceless and the young student athletes have become fans of all Universities who attended the Tournament.

The 12U Girls Volunteered their time with "Packed with Pride"
Packed with Pride was founded by Becky Mizner, mother of soldier Jesse Mizner.
